This is supposed to be an art blog rather than a things-that-happen-to-me blog, but I have to gush about these recent acquisitions. My sister and I bought two Asian ball-jointed dolls.
You can also see what good taste I have in books.
They're Dal dolls, which are less expensive than most BJDs, and they're Rin and Len Kagamine, two vocaloids. We plan to make clothes for them based on their most beautiful song videos. And from the same sister for my Easter birthday I received this cool figurine of Professor Layton:
He's got interchangeable hands, so as well as writing in that book, he can drink tea and point at people who did crimes!
I feel a bit silly, but such things are fun and inspiring.

Happy Easter!
He is risen!
On Easter Sunday, which this year was my birthday, I did this picture:
Not obviously Eastery, but meant to be expressive of a happiness. It's the main characters of Beckyless again.

The New Face of Business
One of those collage backgrounds I mentioned, with the figure done in ink wash and chalk pastel. She's Gryphoemia, one of the main characters in Beckyless.

Dark Woods Beckyless
Imitating someone else's style again--this time it's the style of the artist who did the vocaloid video 'Dark Woods Circus' and I used it to draw the main characters of my comic-in-the-works Beckyless.
