They can yield not only intellectual but emotional understanding of the truth of God. If it doesn't mean much to hear that God loves you, engage with a story (painting, drawing, etc.) ... that contains an immense, moving example of sacrificial love and it will give you a hint, a glimpse of a smidgen of what that Love is like.<br /><br />(To repeat...)
