This is my friend Superherogeek's character Fiona Kerry, an evil witch from her story Athol, which I've mentioned before. I drew this for her birthday. (Superherogeek's, not Fiona's.)

wee chickies
We got sixteen baby chicks a few days ago! There are three breeds and both male and female, so when they grow up we'll eat all the roosters except one and then there will be eggs and, come next Spring, more chickies!

Fin Lough
This is the completed commission I'd been working on for over a year. I was able to deliver it to the patron just before leaving Texas! It's of Fin Lough in Ireland; which I've never seen, but the patron gave me several photographs to work from, and I was glad I already had experience painting the Irish landscape.

Watchtower
A little animation of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman on the Watchtower, with Space going by. I've been working on this since almost a year ago. The background is ink painting, the foreground is Crayola crayons, and I put it together and animated it in Photostudio and Photoshop.
Though I say so myself, I think it's kinda awesome.

road towards somewhere sunlit
This is the second painting I did for entry into this year's Jaques plein air contest. The photograph didn't quite get it; the sky blends from blue down to a very pale orange, and photographing it in natural light diminished the orange, while photographing it in incandescent light diminished the blue. Well, this is one of the incandescent ones.

Tree in blossom
I'm getting settled in Minnesota and now have internet again! This is a painting of a tree on our land, for the purpose of entry into this year's Jaques Art Center plein air painting competition. You might remember I participated in this contest before, back in 2012.
