With my Entire Liturgical Calendar Coloring Book, I'm doing the USA Anglican Ordinariate calendar, because that's what I am, but other folks come from other places, so now I made the plain USA calendar and the General overall calendar available as options on the sign up page. For a discount, naturally!

When I'm all done with this calendar, I might do expansion packs for other countries' calendars, if folks want them.

Working on the coloring pages for February. Now, you might have missed January's issue but you can still sign up for coloring pages for every single feast in the liturgical calendar; the first one you'll get now will be February, but then when next January comes around you'll get those pages then! So everyone gets everything, no matter when they sign up.

One thing, relevant to the page above: although it's for children, some of these are bit violent, as you can see. But this is true to the stories of the saints; the veneration of saints started with martyrs and always returns to that, because that is the truest imitation of Christ. 

I once saw this treasury of Bible stories for children. It covered the typically-retold stories of Genesis, Exodus, Daniel, Jonah, then on to the life of Christ. But then, they left out the crucifixion. They left it out and just said at the beginning of the Resurrection story: "Jesus' disciples were very sad when He died..." I was shocked and disgusted. I understand not wanting to distress children, but without the sacrifice of the Cross the Resurrection is totally incomplete, and if we refused to acknowledge it I hardly think we could call ourselves Christian.

That said, the Japanese martyrs are fascinating. The first Mexican-born and the first Indian-born canonized saints were among them, did you know?

My first in-depth colored drawing in a while, Oracle as she will be in my Gothic Lolita Batman fancomic. Instead of becoming paralyzed, the poor girl will lose her legs.

Doctor Who fanart. This year is the fiftieth anniversary of the show, so I'll be doing a lot of that!

Batmobile

First rough design for the Batmobile for my gothloli Batman fancomic. The body is based on a 1908 Lanchester. I think I'll revise it a bit, to make the structure itself more batty.

For one of Bruce Wayne's personal cars, however, I'm going to use this beauty, and it needs no alteration:

I think this is the best yet of the coloring pages. You're probably asking, why does Our Lady have pigtails? Well, in drawing her I was having a hard time making her look young enough, so just for sketching, I gave her pigtails. But then I liked how they looked so much I couldn't stand to change them. New Year and new workplace

With money my grandmother sent for Christmas, I bought a drafting table, because my back has been complaining about working for hours at my flat-surfaced desk. So now I'm in the process of moving my art stuff from here, where I've been for years:

Ha, you expected the new place to be a lot less messy, didn't you? The shelf on the left is currently full of cookbooks, but that's where I'll be moving my art stuff. The new place is next to my easel and oil painting stuff, so it's becoming more of a cohesive studio.
