Ironic Titanic reference
A Homestuck fanart illustrating my progress in the relearning-to-color thing. With this picture, I had very thin, colored ink outlines, and colored it with markers. But instead of using my usual old method of flatly coloring an entire object a base color and then layering other colors to shade, I tried to use marker more like I use oil paint, with a lot of mixing colors and building up the forms. I think it turned out well.

St. Patrick page colored
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I've said I plan to color several of the pages of the Liturgical Calendar Coloring Book, so here's today's, colored with oil paint. You can see the page uncolored here. It was rather a speed painting, since I wanted to post it today but didn't have time to do it till this morning. I don't like to do holiday art before the holiday, because it's not the holiday yet, but that means you have to be quick. I've never done oil on paper before.

Under the Bear Hood
My sister Anna now has an art blog! She does a lot of two things that bewilder me: colored pencil art and knitting. And funny little comics. Also she likes bears and teddy bears even more than I like clocks. Go take a look!

Blue Beetle plush doll
A Blue Beetle plush I’ve been working on for a long time. He’s over two feet tall, and I wanted him to be as soft and huggable as possible.
The scarab is not just a flat patch, but has its own structure and stuffing, including the legs.
The armor head cover comes off as a hood and has a lining embroidered with a special name. He's so cute!

A new truck!
My sister and I bought this truck! Although, I don't have my driver's license yet. That's right, I'm twenty-six and don't have a driver's license. I'm working on getting it now, and I think this is much better than if I'd gotten it when I was a teenager. Back then, I didn't care about it much, didn't have need for it, and I don't think I would have liked learning to drive at all. Now I'm eager and it seems like great fun.
Working on some art jobs, and already preparing for moving to Minnesota... I hope to have more to show soon!
