Paper Doll Veronika has updated; Chapter 8 of Part III, "Uotiolo's Story of the Sea", is posted!

The comic is taking a break until October 4th, mainly for family reasons, but if possible I also want to build up a buffer, of course, and to:

1. Make much progress on formatting the print book, maybe even finish;

2. Make a bigger bonus thing for Doll Club members than the usual: either the next Animal Story comic, the next section of the Map, or a behind-the-scenes video;

3. Make a Paper Doll Veronika Substack.

The last can be used both as another platform for the comic itself and the Paper Doll Club bonus content, via its unpaid-and-paid subscription tiers. Other platforms are important because WordPress is becoming more and more error-ridden and I am reluctantly considering if it may be wise to take down my site. If I do, I’m also looking at Neocities and hoping that if I go there, I can learn enough HTML to use it rather than WordPress for my own site should I go independent again. But this is all highly speculative at this point.

Paper Doll Veronika has updated; Chapter 7 of Part III, "Pierre's Story of the Sea", is posted!

I'm really happy with that ship stern. This update, and the next, are larger than they have been of late, because after the next one I will have to take a break.

It updates on Fridays on my site and Sundays on Arktoons. I recommend using bookmarking or the "Save your place" gadget on my site, even once you catch up, because the site starts at the beginning and updates are several pages.

Veronika Bosch, who's never left her father's estate, has to go on a journey when envious animals kick her out. Half collage, half puppetry, it's the traditional media equivalent of an elaborate sprite comic.

Bonus art for Chapter 6 of Part III of Paper Doll Veronika, "Drù's Story of the Sea", which is now being posted on Arktoons!

I'm endeavoring to make more of my photo-collages strictly of photos taken by me, and this is such a one. The castle and the background water and sky were taken in Ireland, the rocks and foreground water on the North Shore of Lake Superior, and the man is my father at my sister's wedding, with some color adjustments to the beard.
