Paper Doll Veronika returns!

Paper Doll Veronika has updated; Part II, "Mountain", has begun!
The Part begins here.
The story begins here.

It updates every Friday (occasionally Saturday). I recommend using the "Save your place" gadget, even once you catch up, because the site starts at the beginning and updates are several pages. --But it looks like that might wear off after a few months, or maybe it's that I've cleared my browser's history... anyway, I'd rather not take breaks this long, so I must work harder!

Veronika Bosch, who's never left her father's estate, has to go on a journey when envious animals kick her out. Half collage, half puppetry, it's the traditional media equivalent of an elaborate sprite comic.

Daisy field

Bonus art of Sibyl from my webcomic, Paper Doll Veronika. It will return to updating this Friday, Feb. 26th! Read it here!

I usually use these bonus pieces to experiment, and lately I've been trying out techniques to contrast sunlight and shade. The foreground is in gouache, cut out and put on top of a background in ink with punched-out pieces atop it for the flowers.

Deus Vult looks awesome

Inks by Jesse White, colors by Matt Crotts

Writer Jon Del Arroz, with whom I am working on another project, has just launched the crowdfunding campaign for Deus Vult, a crusade fantasy comic.

I gotta be honest with you, this one looks really really cool. Just look at that old school silver age style, and the premise sounds great!

Check it out here!

Bovodar and the Bears are on their way!

Bovodar is hard at work and so are we! The future of the Bovodar and the Bears comic is now certain! Can't say all the details yet, but one thing is that writer Jack Mikkelson has set up a Patreon to support our efforts while we get this out there to you! It's still under construction, but I plan to post loads and loads of exclusive behind-the-scenes goodies there; I've got lots of character development art to start with.

You can read a preview of the comic here!

And the novel on which it's based is available for Kindle and in paperback!
