Paper Doll Veronika update

Paper Doll Veronika has updated; Chapter 12 of Part II, "Bad News! A Thief!", has begun!

The update starts here.

The part begins here.

The story begins here.

It updates on Fridays on my site and Sundays on Arktoons. (Arktoons is behind).

I recommend using bookmarking or the "Save your place" gadget on my site, even once you catch up, because the site starts at the beginning and updates are several pages.

Veronika Bosch, who's never left her father's estate, has to go on a journey when envious animals kick her out. Half collage, half puppetry, it's the traditional media equivalent of an elaborate sprite comic.

2022

Art of 2022. When writing the following description for this, I got a bit impassioned. I decided to let it stand.

On my post reviewing the year's art for 2021, I said, "When I return home, I hope to undertake a very robust work schedule--I've already begun forbidding myself from the internet on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, which does wonders for my focus--and start a new venture too!"

I spoke of returning home because I was away for five months of 2021, including its end, staying with family to help out. I did go home in March, but only took up a robust work schedule for a little while. Something terrible happened to that part of my family, so I didn't stay off the internet because I was anxious for news, and was so anxious in general that I couldn't focus on art, so spent most of that time on gardening, practicing harp, and praying. Then I went back. To try to be of further help, as far as that was possible. Over the months in the wake of the tragedy, more terrible things happened and alarming states of things were revealed, crescendoing in another tragedy, itself leveraged as a weapon against this part of my family, in the midst of upheaval. Obviously prudence prevents me from being clearer, but overall, it just seems overwritten what awful forms malice takes. But we made it back in the end.

That... got way more personal than I originally planned. 2022 was a tremendously difficult year. And for goodness sake, it ended with another death, of the Pope whose supposed resignation kicked off... everything, it feels like. As to what comes next, all that is in my power is to surrender it to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Pray for my soul.
